Ask a question about Groups

Know and be known.

The church is more than a building, and doesn’t simply gather once a week on Sunday mornings. God designed us to be in relationship with one another.

Acts 2:46-47 describes how the early church gathered regularly in both large and small groups. At Outward Church, Outward Groups are the best way to develop meaningful relationships in a smaller setting outside of our Sunday worship gathering.

These groups exist to create Gospel-centered relationships throughout our city, providing an opportunity to "know and be known" through friendship and discipleship.

Outward Groups consist of around 7-17 people, and gather in homes throughout the week. Joining a group is one of the best steps you can take toward building community at Outward!

Have questions about Outward Groups? We've answered some commonly asked questions below.

What takes place in Outward Groups?

Most of our groups include a meal together, prayer time, discussion, fellowship with others and those in our neighborhoods, and outreach to our community.

How often do groups meet?

Most groups meet once a week. During certain seasons, like through the summer, some groups choose to meet less frequently.

Are my kids welcome?

Some groups are better suited to accommodate kids than others, but our groups are designed for diversity - people and families of all ages and sizes are welcome!

Should I attend a group in the part of town where I live?

If possible, yes! Sharing rhythms of life together with others in your neighborhood is the most effective way for Outward Groups to function together on mission.

Love Jesus. Live outward.
