Baptism is a symbolic and visual representation for those who have placed their faith in Jesus. Believers are immersed in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit to follow Christ’s example (Mark 3:16-7), in obedience to His command (Matthew 28:18-20), and as a testimony to oneself, the church and God.
Baptism does not save you or wash your sins away, but it is a sign of the saving work that Christ accomplished for you by His death and resurrection.
