Outward Teams

Outward Kids

Outward Kids is our Sunday children's ministry. Serving on this team is an opportunity to introduce children to Jesus! Most volunteers serve 1-2 services per month on a rotating basis. All Outward Kids workers are required to have a background check.

Some ways to serve include:

  • Check-in
  • "Buddy Team" for children with special needs
  • Classroom support

First Impressions

This serving opportunity includes roles dedicated to helping people feel welcomed and get connected at Outward. These teams help ensure everyone gets greeted with a smile, know where to go, and answer any questions people may have.

Campus Safety

This team ensures a safe and distraction-free environment for worship. Opportunities include:

Worship

Our musicians and other artists help craft worship services and other events where the truth of the Gospel can be powerfully experienced and God's presence felt.

Outward Groups

Outward Groups are the place where the mission of Outward is lived out. We need qualified group leaders as well as people with the gift of hospitality who can host gatherings in their homes.

Facilities

Facilities team members serve at various times during the week to maintain the building and provide a clean atmosphere for people to meet Jesus.

  • Grounds/landscaping

Outward Students

Our Outward Students team works with 6-12th graders at Outward Church. This fun group of leaders helps run our weekly youth group as well as develop relationships with students, leading Bible studies and other opportunities to help students follow Jesus.

Administration

Our production team oversees the technical aspects of our Sunday services and livestream.

Backpack Buddies

Backpack Buddies

Many children rely on school lunches for nutrition and are often undernourished during the weekend. Backpack Buddies provides weekend nutrition for some of these at-risk children in our community.

As a part of our commitment to "live outward", we've partnered with GRASSP to provide an after school soccer club at Richmond Elementary. This club serves as an incentive program to encourage kids to work hard in school and provide us with an opportunity to love and serve kids in our community.
