Join a Team

Outward Teams serve the church by crafting experiences and environments where discipleship can take place.

We are living outward together on mission.

The Bible describes the church as a body, with every part contributing something unique and valuable as part of a functioning, healthy, whole. Our goal is that everyone who calls Outward Church home is involved in serving on one of our teams in some way.

Outward Teams FAQ

Have a question about Outward Teams? We've tried to answer some below.

How often will I volunteer?

Serving schedules can be customized and it depends on the role, but typically volunteers serve one or two times a month.

Do teams require training?

Some of our teams involve specialized skills (such as running sound, lights, etc). But most of our teams are available to anyone. And even if a role does involve some training, all of our team leaders are equipped and excited to get you up to speed.

How do I know where I should serve?

We'll help you figure it out! Ideally, the best place for someone is the unique place where their passions and abilities intersect with the church's need.

Do I need to be a member to serve?

No! In fact, serving on a team is often the first step people take towards getting connected at Outward. Some areas require a background check (like Outward Kids), but typically the only prerequisite is agreement with our doctrinal statement.
