Outward Teams

Outward Kids

This is an opportunity for people who are great with kids to serve as teachers and volunteers, introducing children to Jesus. Most volunteers serve 1-2 services per month on a rotating basis. All Outward Kids workers are required to have a background check.

Some ways to serve include:

  • Check-in
  • "Buddy Team" for children with special needs
  • Classroom support

Hospitality

This ministry is designed to make the Sunday experience exceed anyone’s expectations as they arrive for the first time.

  • Coffee/food service
  • Worship Center prep
  • Communion

Connect Team

This serving opportunity includes roles dedicated to helping people feel welcomed and find ways to get connected. Team members greet everyone with a smile and are available to answer any questions you may have.

Campus Safety

This team ensures a safe and distraction-free environment for worship. Opportunities include:

  • Parking

  • Outward Kids safety

Service Production

We craft worship services where the truth of the Gospel can be powerfully experienced every week. Some serve as musicians in our worship bands, while others are skilled in the technical aspects of putting on a church service.

  • Video

Outward Groups

Outward Groups are the place where the mission of Outward is lived out. We need qualified group leaders as well as people with the gift of hospitality who can host gatherings in their homes.

  • Group leaders

Facilities

Facilities team members serve at various times during the week to maintain the building and provide a clean atmosphere for people to meet Jesus.

  • Grounds/landscaping
  • Cleaning
  • Maintenance

Occasionally we host all-church events and community outreach efforts, which require coordination and planning.

Backpack Buddies

Backpack Buddies

Many children rely on school lunches for nutrition and are often undernourished during the weekend. Backpack Buddies provides weekend nutrition for some of these at-risk children in our community.

As a part of our commitment to "live outward", we've partnered with GRASSP to provide an after school soccer club at Richmond Elementary. This club serves as an incentive program to encourage kids to work hard in school and provide us with an opportunity to love and serve kids in our community.
